As the legal guardians of children in Vermont state custody, DCF staff fill a primary role in maximizing the educational success of students in care.  Working as a team, Social Workers, Resource Coordinators, District Directors, administrative staff and policy makers ensure that a child’s educational well-being receives strong attention, recruit local resource families, coordinate transportation, collaborate with schools and community partners, and collect relevant data.
