Judges, attorneys and guardian ad litem all have a role to play in ensuring that the educational needs of children are addressed in the courtroom. They are responsible for monitoring the child’s educational goals and situation, and making certain that the educational best interest of the child is prioritized in the judicial decision-making process. Together, members of the court are accountable for compliance with education, child welfare and family law.
